Problem
You will be creating a website for Ms. Buggy, who is a 4th grade teacher who wants a unique way for her students to learn about ladybugs. After talking to Ms. Buggy you decide the site needs to have five pages. Ms. Buggy gave you a number of resources to use so you don't have to look up information on ladybugs.
Instructions
- The first page is the home page for the site that should introduce the topic to the students. It should be visually interesting and get students interested in learning about ladybugs.
- One page will contain information about the life cycle of a ladybug. This MUST be visual and explain all the stages. Ms. Buggy wants this part to contain an animation so you should use Fireworks or an online animation program.
- One page should contain a list of terms (a glossary) about ladybugs. You should have at least 5 terms. This page should be visual and shouldn't simply contain the terms and their definitions.
- One page should contain interesting facts about ladybugs. Include at least 5 interesting facts and keep the page visually interesting.
- Your last page should contain links to fun activities about ladybugs. The page should contain at least 5 links, and they shouldn't simply be addresses.
- Ms. Buggy wants the navigation to be placed in the same place on every page.
- Ms. Buggy wants you to limit the information on each page so students don't have to scroll much.
- The background should be a background texture or color, and the text should be legible in front of it.
- Create a page called color.html (all lowercase). In this file, explain your color choices and make sure you specify what color scheme you are using. You do not have to link to this file or design it at all.
- In your color.html page explain why you chose your fonts. Check out this page for an example of a good color.html file.
- Your site should use an external style sheet, and all styles should be in it unless there is a valid reason to use embedded or inline styles.
- Make sure you change the document title and add a page title to your page.
- Make sure your page is called index.html.
- Make sure none of your links are broken.
- Turn in your project online. Check this lesson for the information to do this. The host directory should be ladybug.
