Computer Science Advanced Studies :: Computer Security

Computer Security was not modeled off a single college course. Elements of courses at the University of Illinois, MIT, and Stanford were combined to form the basis of this course. Cryptography is the dominant topic of the course as students will delve deep into the subject by investigating block ciphers, public-key cryptosystems, cryptographic hash functions, and message authentication codes. Students will also learn how random number generators function and work on securing web applications.
