Problem

In your service learning group, complete a needs assessment worksheet for organizations that are working to improve access to education. These organizations could be governmental or non-governmental organizations. Try to find organizations that are not-for-profit. Each group member should investigate one organization and add information to the needs assessment worksheet.

Individually, each group member should write a one or two page report on a specific issue regarding access to education. The report should include the following:

• A description of the social issue at local and global levels.
• An evaluation of two existing programs that are working to solve the social issue.
• Identified opportunities to address the social issue in a new way. Discuss how you could potential use computer science.
• Citation of resources in either MLA or APA format.
